It sure feels like summer and I can't wait to enjoy the nice weather, trips to the park, walks, playing at the pool, splash pads, bubbles, chalk, riding bikes and lots of sunshine!  The girls and I already have spent a lot of time outside and that's pretty much where you will find us all summer long.  Cheers to summer's arrival.  It's finally here!!!

Happy Memorial Day!

 

 

 

We enjoyed a relaxing Memorial Day at home.  We did some running around for the twins frozen birthday party which is what we have been doing a lot these days.  They can't wait for it!  They are super excited!!!  Later in the day the girls got a chance to swim in the pool and play with their water table.  Addison got in the pool a little too by dipping her toes in it.  What a beautiful day!

You are really getting good at sitting.  Should we call you an official sitter?  You still fall over of course, but you are really impressing me!  You can sit for long periods now before falling and you even put your hand out to catch yourself when you're about to tip over.  What a big girl you are!  Before we know it you will be crawling all over the place!!!

This past weekend we went to Milwaukee Zoo to honor Brett as we walked to raise money to fight Melanoma cancer.  It was a beautiful weekend and the weather was gorgeous the day of the walk.  During our walk we got to enjoy the zoo and see all the animals they have to offer.  It is a nice zoo so it was the perfect scenery for the walk.  We already stated that we would like to go back sometime soon.  It was the girls first weekend away at a hotel and they did great.  Besides falling out of the bed at night the girls enjoyed sleeping in the big bed together.  They also enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool the most.  They don't get to go in the pool too often so it was a treat.  They were super pumped when we told them we were going to the zoo on Sunday.  They loved seeing all the animals and of course had their favorites.  They had so much fun on our little trip that Ella actually cried when we got home because she didn't want the weekend to end.  What a beautiful weekend to honor such a special, loved man.  We love you Brett and miss you dearly!   

Mother's Day and Birthday!

I had a very quiet Mother's Day this year because the stomach bug hit me early in the morning.  We had to end up canceling all our plans and stay home.  No complaints here because even no the stomach bug is no fun I got to nap relax all day which was much needed.  My girls were well taken care off so I was able to get the rest I needed. Not what I expected for my first Mother's Day with Addison here but I was thankful I was able to relax on the couch.

My birthday was a cold one this year.  Colder than I ever remember.  So we stayed inside most of the day.  The girls love to sing and eat cake on birthdays so we went over to my parents house during the day to do so.  I think Ella's first words were, "Where is the cake?" when she found out it was my birthday.  Then the rest of the night was relaxing with my loved ones.  I am most looking forward to doing my gift from the hubby.  We get to do the penguin experience this summer.  I cannot wait since I love penguins.  I just smile thinking about it!
