Getting ready for pre-k!

Savanna's apple she got from her teacher!

Ella's apple from Mrs. B!

The twins had their meet and greet today with their teacher, Mrs. B.  They got to each pick a symbol that they will use for the entire school year to identify their spot.  Since we were one of the last students to pick the girls didn't have a lot of symbols to choose from.  So I was worried they wouldn't find something they liked but there was one red boat left that Ella picked immediately and then Savanna chose a yellow duck.  Next, the girls printed their name for the teacher and had to identify their name from a group of cards.  Ella found this an easy task because she has been writing her name by herself for awhile but Savanna still connects the dots to print her name and hasn't ventured out to writing it on her own yet.  So when it came time for her to do this she was very quiet and then about half way in asked when she could go and play.  So this should be interesting how she adapts to learning new things and accepting help.  In general Savanna seemed to be shy the entire visit.  It is funny because I thought Ella might be the shy child because she tends to be in new situations or with people she doesn't know well.  So I was surprised to see Savanna display the shy behavior but she may open up more as time passes.  After the girls were finished with the teacher's assessments they got to play with the toys and took a bathroom break which I was happy about.  I wasn't sure how they would do with that by themselves because they are so use to me doing it with them but they did great!  They are really getting to be big girls!  Then after we left the school we went to the donut shop for a treat.  It was an exciting day!  Stay tuned to Tuesday for some first day of preschool pictures!

The twins finished their first session of dance class ending with a parent viewing session.  I thought they would be really shy and not want to dance in front of the parents but they did great!  Ella especially came out of her shell and was so cute.  The Frozen song came on and she started singing while moving to the music for all the parents.  Everyone got a kick out of her!  Savanna did really well with doing the moves too but towards the end became a little shy.  The girls really took to dance class and made a lot of little friends as the weeks went on.  They would even call their friends by name and run right up to them.  Adorable!  Overall the girls had a blast and looked forward to dance night every week.  We will be signing up for the fall session very soon!

Nine Months!

I really had to hide this months sticker because if I put it anywhere else besides above your head you kept putting it in your mouth!
 Happy Girl!
 Cheesy Face!

 Having a blast feeding herself!
Talking up a storm saying Ma-ma!
 Her curly hair!
Hi Addie!
 Snuggling with her bunny toy!

Addison at 9 months old:
You are wearing size 2 diapers and 6 to 9 month clothing.
You say ma-ma and it is the cutest thing ever!  You sound like a little baby doll when you say it.
You are using your hands to push up and moving your legs up when you are on your tummy.  I think it will be a matter of weeks before you are crawling.
You still love to take a bath and splash in the tub.
You love to read books with me!  Your favorites are the Minnie book and the hatching book.
You still take about 5 ounces of formula about 5 times a day.
You are now eating baby food!!!  We have worked you up to three meals a day.
You especially love the blueberry, pear and purple carrot pouch.
You love to feed yourself and always try to take the spoon from me.
You also started to eat baby mums and apple cinnamon puffs.
You are now finally starting to sleep through the night!  Sometimes you will wake up if you haven't had enough during the day but for the most part sleep is getting good.
You still nap two times a day.  You nap best in your crib but have learned how to nap on the go as well.  You are flexible that way.

We had signed up for this Frozen party at library back in June and the girls were super pumped for it.  They were talking about it all morning and couldn't wait to get to the library.  As soon as we arrived we checked in got our tickets and set out to find a good spot.  Shortly after the girls arrived the twins were super excited.  The princess' read a Frozen story about sisters and then sang some songs with kids that were there.  It was so cute because as soon as the cd came on the twins stood up strait and tall than began belting out the words.  After this the girls got to do some fun Frozen crafts and last but not least took a picture with the princesses.  I wasn't sure if they were going to be shy and I was going to have to take a pic with them or not.  They surprisingly went up there all by themselves when it was their turn.  They talked with Elsa and Anna and were all smiles for the picture.  It was such a great memory to have and a fun day for them!
