Savanna's apple she got from her teacher!
Ella's apple from Mrs. B!
The twins had their meet and greet today with their teacher, Mrs. B. They got to each pick a symbol that they will use for the entire school year to identify their spot. Since we were one of the last students to pick the girls didn't have a lot of symbols to choose from. So I was worried they wouldn't find something they liked but there was one red boat left that Ella picked immediately and then Savanna chose a yellow duck. Next, the girls printed their name for the teacher and had to identify their name from a group of cards. Ella found this an easy task because she has been writing her name by herself for awhile but Savanna still connects the dots to print her name and hasn't ventured out to writing it on her own yet. So when it came time for her to do this she was very quiet and then about half way in asked when she could go and play. So this should be interesting how she adapts to learning new things and accepting help. In general Savanna seemed to be shy the entire visit. It is funny because I thought Ella might be the shy child because she tends to be in new situations or with people she doesn't know well. So I was surprised to see Savanna display the shy behavior but she may open up more as time passes. After the girls were finished with the teacher's assessments they got to play with the toys and took a bathroom break which I was happy about. I wasn't sure how they would do with that by themselves because they are so use to me doing it with them but they did great! They are really getting to be big girls! Then after we left the school we went to the donut shop for a treat. It was an exciting day! Stay tuned to Tuesday for some first day of preschool pictures!
